What time?

Time to send in your photos for the
2010 Cat Blogosphere calendar!!!

Send a photo to get on the 2010 Cat Blogosphere calendar.

Photo requirements

  1. Fotos must be of a Cat Blogosphere cat or cat friend of the non-human variety. Single or multiple CB cats or cat friends can be in a foto. Kitties who went to the Bridge are invited to be in this year’s calendar too.
  2. 2 fotos max per cat, cat friend, or group.
  3. Fotos should be 200dpi if possible If yoo don’t know what that is, just send the biggest you can. Bigger is better!
  4. Fotos can be wif or wifout clothes. If you wears clothes tho, we plan to do a cats in clothes page.
  5. Send fotos to pics.calendar.cb @ gmail.com with the subject 2010 Calendar no later than November 2nd.
  6. By sending in your fotos, you agree that you give the Cat Blogosphere license to use your photo in perpetuity for Cat Blogosphere calendars and gifts to earn money to support the Cat Blogosphere.

This year’s calendar will be to benefit tha Cat Blogosphere, for hosting, chat, Mr. Linky, etc. If there are earnins from the calendar above what’s needed for the Cat Blogosphere for 2010, theys will be donated to cat rescue and assistance.

How You Can Support Jeter Harris’ Mom

A bunch of cat moms are in San Francisco right now, cheering on Jeter Harris’ mom as she completes the 3-day walk for breast cancer fundraising.

If you cannot be at the walk itself, you can cheer her on virtually — just leave a message on my blog, and I’ll rite the message on an enormous banner we made for the cheering section, and a little part of you will be cheering her on.

A fun contest!

Hi everybuddy! I wanted to let you all know about a cool contest.  It is sponsored by FurrButts Photography (they have some gorgeous photos there).  Anyway, you just send in a photo and the winner can win a photography session and an 11 x 14 wall portrait!  If you do not live locally, you can win a percentage of the proceeds, no less than $50.  The proceeds from the contest will be donated to Animal Rescue and Adoption, so it’s for a great cause.  Here is a link to the contest blog, called FurrButt Photo Contests.  Have fun!

Orlando Bun here… I’m getting my pre-show rub down. I case you don’t know I’m in the latest CCSI show airing this weekend – click here for more information. I’ve also heard that there was a tabloid reporter on set, I know I didn’t let him in! Cat Friends Helping Friends Update

I thought I’d let you guys know where we stand in terms of becoming an
actual charitable organization recognized by the IRS. We have a lot left
to do and some of those things coming up are very expensive. We have
already obtained our incorporation certificate which cost about $75. I am
in the process of applying for a charitable submissions license which
costs $100, our 502(c)(3) fees will be $750 which is our largest expense.
We also have small expenses which certainly chip away at our costs; these
include domain registration, chat rooms for meetings and newsletter
services. All and all we really need about $1000 to truly be in the up and
running as we would like to be. We understand this will take time, but
we’re trying to move it along as quickly as possible with fund raisers for
our operating or administration fund. ML, our chairperson of the fund
raising committee, was kind enough to donate THIS WONDERFUL CAMERA. ML requested all donations from the camera go directly to our operating
costs.

So we’re asking all you kitties out there to buy even just one
raffle tickets to help us realize out dreams. Besides helping our
organization reach its goals, you will have an opportunity to win this
wonderful camera which Amazon lists at $465.99. Please check it out for
all the product details. We want to thank for you all your support so far,
we are a little over half way to all of our goals. We are very anxious to
begin helping the kitties of the blogosphere and with your help we know we
can reach our goals.

Auctions and stuff update

Anyone who is auctioning off something for Laura or having a fund raiser for Laura, Mu Shue and Lilly Lu, please request to be an author at the Cat Auction site.

You will still use your blog to auction stuff, but this way we can keep an eye on what’s going on all in one place without overwhelming the cat blogosphere!

Make a donation of at least $2.00 to the Cat Blogsphere’s Friends helping Friends fund by Easter (March 23) and DKM will send you some squiggles.  Mom Robyn, Sanjee, ML and KC will distribute the funds to our friends in need across the blogsphere. Come on, you know you want one…
