Caboodle Caravan Transport Day
Today is the day of the Caboodle Caravan Transport, organized by the amazing Dorian of Your Daily Cute. The transport will start early in the morning in Miami, Florida, and end up on Sunday in Springfield, Illinois after a sleepover stop in Chattanooga, Tennessee. There will be over a dozen volunteer transport drivers, each driving about ninety minute to two hour legs of the transport, which will have eleven cats in it! There were originally twelve cats, but lucky Smokey got a new Forever Family already!
The eleven cats consist of four adult cats, including Lestat, Emily, Amber, and Callie. Then there are also seven kittens in the transport leaving from Miami, including the irascibly cute Barry. Along the way, in Tennessee, there will be an additional three tiny black kittens joining the transport, for a total of fourteen cats arriving at a rescue shelter in Springfield, which already has lined up adoptive parents for several of the cats.
You can follow along the way on the transport on Twitter by following the hashtag #CaboodleCaravan. And you can follow posts on facebook along the way on the Your Daily Cute facebook page. Two of the transport drivers includes our own Daddy Mo of Purrchance To Dream and Mom Cheri from the Cats Of Wildcat Woods. We’d like to say THANK YOU to all the Cutehead transport drivers who are helping these cats get out of high-kill shelters and to a a rescue organization which will help them get Forever Homes.
