History
In 2006, some of us cats of started doing Circles/ Vigils for diffrent furriends wif speshul purroblems, and all our furriends in need. This year, startin wif the furst monfly Circle / Vigil held on January 25, 2007, we is doing Circles / Vigils on a monthly basis on the 4th Thursday of every month. Mark your calendars! (Or make yore cat staff mark it for yoo.) All cats and friends are welcome regardlus of religious beleefs to send purrayers, purrs, good wishes and kitty mojo to furriends in need.  Please join us every month you can! The more, the merrier!
About the Purr & Prayer Circles / Prayer Vigils
How do you do have Circles / Prayer Vigils online?
We has them via live chat at our Chatzy chat room so we can “talk” to each other and offer up purrayers and purrs to ask for help for our furriends in need.
What happens at a Circle / Prayer Vigil?
After cats and furriends has arrived, one of the volunteer hosties ushusually asks efurryone to join paws to start. Then a host cat starts off with a prayer or meditation with speshul needs cats in mind, as well as a general prayer for all in need. It can be a long or shore purrayer or meditation, that’s up to the host. Then the circle / vigil partissypants are invited to share purrayers or purrs or names of kitties and friends who need prayers. All kitties and furriends can partissypate by sharing prayers or names of friends they know of in need. At the end of approximately an hour, one of the host kitties says a brief closin prayer that marks the end of the “offishul” circle /vigil.
How long do they last?
Circles / Vigils “offishully” last approximately an hour. After the “offishul” circle / vigil, cats are invited to stay and socialize or add more prayers, for as long as they like.
What if I can’t make it?
We set up a special place on the Pet Prayer and Praise Blog to visit any time and leave a message, light a candle, or make a speshul prayer request to include in that night’s vigil.
How do you pick who hosts the Circles / Vigils?
Cats volunteer! We don’t pick hosts, they pick themselves. We operate on a “the more, the merrier” basis as far as hosting goes. Emma, KC and Sanjee have all been involved so far, but we really would love for more cats to get involved. We’ll help you do it, too, and one of us will co-host if you don’t want to host by yourself. We also invite you to host a another circle / vigil aside from the regular monthly one, any time you like, maybe one that will fit in better with your time zone, or for a special friend of yours. We’ll be glad to help you do that too.
