A Memorial Service has been set for Mary/Cathy on September 24th
at Belmont Methodist Church, Nashville, TN.
Visitation at 10:00 and the service beginning at 11:00.
For those that would like to attend, we would be honored to meet you.
On behalf of the entire family, blessings to you all, and thanks so much for your kind thoughts and words.
Cathy loved you all, and you had a VERY positive impact on her life!

For those of us who cannot attend the Memorial Service, we will have a Chatzy Room.
We are sending flowers to the service on behalf of all of us in the CB.
To Cathy’s many friends, I’m Cathy’s sister, Teresa. I regret to say that she passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, after a brilliant fight. Burial was private on Saturday. A memorial service is being planned & is tentatively on the 24th @ Belmont Methodist. Everything is very fluid right now. If someone finds out the plans & wants to post them before I do, feel free, & thank you. Beau is doing well. Thank you for the love that you have shown my very special sister. Words will NEVER express how much that means. From the entire family, thanks for your prayers & kindness. May you be blessed now & always. ~Teresa Proctor
We just found out that Beau’s mum Mary passed away last week. Her sister left a message on Mary’s Facebook page today. She had been sick for some time, but this was unexpected. ~Huffle Mawson
We just read on Facebook about Beau’s Mom Cathy. We’re so shocked and sad. 
We thought she was doing better. We’re purring loud and hard for her family and for Beau. We will miss Beau’s blog and Sunday Sermons. ~The Florida Furkids and Angel Sniffie

My Legacy – This was posted by Beau about 14 months ago. Last week Cathy and I were making plans for the yearly fundraiser for Beau’s fall vet visit. She again talked of how proud she was of this blog and Beau’s Sunday Sermons and that was their legacy. ~Mom ML

I am also shocked by this. I knew that she was having lots of problems stemming from that stubborn foot infection, but I never expected this. My heart goes out to her family, especially Beau.

What??!! OMC, I can’t believe this. I just can’t wrap my head around Cathy’s passing. I, too, though she was doing better.

When we read about Cathy last night, we had read it over and over because we couldn’t believe it. We are so very sad to have lost such a special lady. We will miss Beau’s posts and Sunday sermons and will purr and pray for Cathy’s family.

Even though we haven’t blogged for two years now, we had to share our sorrow over the loss of such a lovely person. Cathy and Beau were among the first cat families we met when we first started our blog years ago. And we feel blessed to have known her.

I last spoke the Cathy a couple weeks ago. She was tying to deal with her medical issues and infections and be upbeat but she cried when she talked of dying and leaving Beau behind. It is in her will that her sister will take him but said Beau is hissy to her and she is worried that because sister has several cats already, Beau won’t adjust and she’ll adopt him out. It was her worst fear, she said.

It seems that some of you knew Cathy quite well…Could it be gently suggested to Cathy’s sister that if Beau doesn’t fit in at their home someone else could take him?
Just wondering…Kind of a touchy thing, very difficult time. Trauma for Beau too, which could be made worse by a difficult new family situation.

OH, my heart is breaking for Beau reading what Scooby, Shaggy and Scout just wrote. I can relate to that being Cathy’s worst fear, but hopefully her sister will take the time to integrate him into her cat family. We will purrrrr and purrrrr.

It is hard to believe Cathy is really gone. Like others, I thought she was doing better.
I am concerned about Beau too. This will be a hard adjustment for him.

I know I haven’t been around in ages, but I am in touch with many of you on facebook and I am absolutely heartbroken to hear this. Mary was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed.

I read about Beau’s Mom Cathy very, very early this morning, and haven’t been able to think of much else since. This is such a shock, and I am so sad for her family and especially Beau, because it is going to be so difficult for him to adjust to the loss of his Mom as well as having to live with a new family. My thoughts and prayers go out to Cathy’s family and to sweet Beau, I hope he will be able to adjust in time with a lot of love and attention.

We were so shocked and saddened to hear about this. We did not always follow Beau as closely as many other cats but she was always there in the background. She was friendly in inviting us to chat on facebook and of course in the chat rooms. She was so young to have been lost to us and it hits the Woman especially in that area as she and Cathy shared a birthday–with Cathy only one year older (not even 50)

I am just in shock. Cathy and I would Instant Message about once a week on facebook. The last time I spoke with her, she was determined to beat the infections.

Mom Paula: I was also shocked and saddened when I read about Cathy on FB last night. Cathy and I chatted on a regular basis through instant messaging on FB and she was so supportive as I went through my numerous surgeries and my grief over Sweet Praline’s illness and ultimate loss. I will miss those late night chats.

Someone mentioned flowers but I have another suggestion since memorial service has already been held…why don’t we donate to animal rescue/shelter in Cathy & Beau’s honor? We could either do as group or individually.
We will miss Cathy & Beau a lot – we talked a good bit before Ghost died but then I got busy with work & we didn’t talk nearly enough. I regret not meeting her in person.
