• Mom Carolina’s best kitty, Bugsy will have surgery on Monday, March 22, to remove a tumor. ~A Happy Cat Family
• Also, Mom Carolina lost her grandfather Thursday.
• Cindy’s Dad Bert had heart catherization, blockage was repaired, and he is recovering nicely. ~The Pink Flamingo
• Cousin Trooper’s Mom, Auntie El, will not need surgery, just another catherization! ~Sniffie & the Florida Furkids
• Ritzi had an infected claw wound (Meowza) and is healing. ~Mind of Mog
• Liddy is doing better, but may go to the vet anyway. ~Homeless Cat Care
• Herman had a vet visit and had a bit of better news. ~Karen Jo

If you are a resident of New York State, you might be interested in Oreo’s Law. Warning: The linked article contains brief descriptions of violent acts against a dog, no details, but enough to upset me. Here is the email:

Recently, the ASPCA killed an abused dog named Oreo, despite an offer by a No Kill shelter to save her life. In response, the New York State Legislature is now considering a law that would make it illegal for any shelter or pound to kill an animal if a legitimate rescue group is willing to save the animal’s life. But the ASPCA wants to kill the proposed law, the way it killed Oreo, for which the new law is named. We need your help. Please ask anyone you know in rescue (or animal lovers in general) in New York State asking them to email or send letters to their legislators in support of Oreo’s Law. Thanks, Bruce Wilson
