Max went to the Bridge on January 14th after a hard battle with kidney failure. He didn’t have a blog, but you can leave comments here for his Aunty Jo who is devastated.

Something new is happening over at the auction Saturday and Sunday. I am going to put all the names of bidders in this weeks auction into a hat and will draw a name for a winning prize after the bidding is closed Sunday at midnight. The winner and prize, which I will announce on Monday. It isn’t too late so head on over and put in a bid on one or more of our exciting items that are on the block for a chance to win a prize personally picked out by me. Each time you make a bid your name will be added so you can bid on more than one item and have a better chance of winning. Good luck -Gracie, Head Auctioneer

Not much is being said about the animals in devastated Haiti but I found three organizations that are sending teams there. To donate go to their sites.  World Society for Protection of Animals or International Fund for Animal Welfare and American Humane Association. Thanks for helping. Cats of Wildcat Woods

My Story = Earthquake in Haiti: Who’s Looking Out for the Animals? Thanks a lot for posting those 3 links about Haiti Rescue Efforts! I’ve tried twice to post this in the comments, since 1am, and failed for some reason, so here, goes. Just a word to let everyone know that the story that I wrote, yesterday, that Cats of Wildcats Woods got them from, has even more links! 4 more organizations involved in the same effort those other 3 are. 2 Organizations from Latin America, including one with a site that is in Spanish, but translatable via Google Translate. Within minutes of my posting the story I got my 1st outraged reaction to it, and the notion of even launching efforts to rescue animals at all, and you can see that comment, as well. The best response to critics of animal rescue in Haiti is to support, and publicize, those efforts so, if you have a blog, think about doing a story linking to my piece, helping to spread the word. If you know of other reputable efforts on behalf of animals, send it to me for an update, to the e-mail in my sidebar. ~Nikita Cat, Meowsings of an Opinionated Pussycat

We all need a cute break! It’s just a cute little kitty.  Doc watched it and recommends it. ~The Pink Flamingo

Nikita is taking a well deserved nap! The carnival is up, and while it only had 13 contributions, counting 2 of his own, he had great fun putting the presentation together, and thinks folks will enjoy it, and learn from it, as well. ;-D Meowsings of an Opinionated Pussycat = Carnival of the Cats #305 = Trackback = Kiril Kundurazieff AKA Nikita Cat
