Furry Happy Purrthdays to Cotton & Momma Jan (Jan’s Funny Farm) and Carmen!
A man in Glasgow has been found guilty of killing cats – 8 months in prison and a ban for life on keeping animals. Not sure if this is appropriate for the CB but thought I’d send the link anyway. The details in the BBC report are upsetting, but it’s good to see the law get it right. I won’t mind if you don’t post it. ~Whicky ( We — mine Mommy an me — can’t read this stuff, too upsetting. But on tha other paw, we did want others to know this creep was brought to justice of some sort. No one haf to read tha deetails, jus know that tha creep’s in prison, hopefully wif a bunch of cat loving inmates. Fanks fur letting us know… KC )

I just saw on JB’s website that they are asking for prayers for the safe return of their woofie Bear. It made me so sad because JB’s mom loves Bear and her ex is being mean. Can we ask for lots of prayers from the cat blogosphere?? I would like to send Braveheart to pull that bloaks tail off! 8 months is not near enough prison time for him!! Maybe nine years for each poor cat he harmed…

You are right Miss Peach, it isn’t long enough in jail, but in the UK – any jail term at all is rare for animal cruelty/abuse cases. Animal cruelty doesn’t go down well amongst other prisoners we hear. So hopefully his jail term will feel much, much longer.

Whicky, thanks for sharing. We didn’t go read but we are glad to hear someone getting some jail time for hurting animals….even if it isn’t enough time. At least it is a start…..and hopefully his cell mates will add their own sort of punishment.

Our momma has tried and tried but she can’t get Mr. Linky to stick! She has entered our information at least 15 times by now and it shows up and then it disappears right away. This is spooky!
