Breaking Noos! This morning mommy saw my tummy didn’t look like she wanted it to. My incision was a little red and wet because I have been a bad girl and licking it too much. She is taking me to see the doctor this afternoon. I just want to sleep at home but she insists! Please keep your paws crossed for me because mommy is a wreck right now! Alley Cat Allies: Texas cats need your help. The Texas legislature is considering a poorly worded bill that could lead to killing of countless Texas cats, any cat outdoors would be a target.  The bill, S.B. 691, aims to control, prevent and eradicate "invasive species" — introduced species that threaten the economy, the environment, or human health.  But the bill’s language is so broad and vague that cats could qualify as "invasive species" — and could lead to many being impounded and killed. National Hairball Awareness Day Favorite Furball Contest Wednesday April 22 – Friday April 24, 2009

Calling all cat bloggers!   Friday April 24 is National Hairball Awareness Day! To celebrate, Romeo the Cat  and FURminator, Inc. are sponsoring the “Favorite Furball” contest.  Entrants are asked to make a donation to Romeo’s charity of the month, Kitten Rescue, (even $1 will do!) and then submit a photo via email of their favorite kitty furball with a sentence about how the FURminator could change their lives! The winner will be drawn by lottery on Thursday evening and announced on Friday, National Hairball Day! The winner receives a free FURminator.
 
Romeo is asking all CB friends to promote the contest on their blogs. In exchange, all the bloggers will be entered into a separate drawing for a FURminator too!  Romeo will give you the content and images to use in your posts (you can edit if you want) to make it easy on you.  If you’re interested in participating or want more info, email Romeo before end of day on Tuesday the 22nd at: romeo at romeothecat dot com and he will give you more details.  While anyone can certainly post about the contest, only kitties and bloggers in the U.S. are eligible to win the prizes.
