We are so sad to report another terrible instance of cat abuse.  The young men involved have been arrested and are being charged as juveniles. Read about Pia, a beloved wire hair fox terrier, that had to be helped to the Bridge earlier this month. Miss Peach and Mommy Karla held an old-fashioned Irish wake for Pia. Here is Pia’s Mom’s thank you:

My Dearest Karla,I am so touched by the wonderful blog tribute to my baby from Miss P.   It is exquisite– the hearts, the flowers, and especially all those darling terriers! How sweet of you to go to all this effort for me, particularly when your beloved is facing surgery (which I pray went smoothly– everything the eyes is scary). What wonderful friends Miss P has to be posting such loving thoughts to a doggie mommy.  The kind words of support do make me feel better. I was particularly moved that you picked an Irish wake– since of course neither of us is Irish.  Despite not being Irish, I have found some comfort in repeating to myself over and over the closing lines from "Oh Danny Boy",  "If you’ll not fail to tell me that you love me, I shall sleep in peace until you come to me." It makes me feel like I can still do something for Pia.

Please purray for Sweet Praline.  She has been to the vet twice this week.  She is trying to pass a hairball and the vet thinks she has a bladder infection.  She is on three different medicines and the vet said she should be better by Friday.  Mom Paula needs special purrayers too because the vet bill will require some sacrifices in other areas.

Bad news for our friend JB, her sister Misty had to be helped to the Bridge yesterday.  And it has only been a month since Poo-Poo went to the Bridge.  They could really use some purrs. ~Pearl, Bert and Jake (I’s maded a grafik fur Misty an it’s on yesserday’s CB Post… KC)
