What We’re Doing and How You Can Help Comfort Violette "Sprout’s" family

Again, since some cats are just hearing and some are still have leaky eyes, we have opened the Chatzy Room for any who need to be with friends for comfort. We know you’ll all be nice. :) Use your name and the password: mistletoe. (If the new style Chatzy gives you trouble, try this link instead: Old style Chatzy.) Also, if you would like to light a candle for the family, you can do that here.

UPDATE on Millie’s Mom’s trip: This group of cat bloggers is totally awesome!  With your help, we were able to buy Millie’s Mom’s airline ticket  today so she can be with her godchild Sprout’s family and attend the funeral services!  Yep, bought, booked and all.   Poor Aunty Deb’s back problem has flared up bad, and since it’s around 100 miles from her house to Monty Q’s, she’s not able to help Millie’s Mom with driving.  And 100 miles back and forth every day, even if Deb was able, is just too much to do. That would do her in especially with her back hurting her so bad and making her sick, and we just can’t have that!  (Go give some purrs to Aunty Deb please! She has to go to the Dr. today and we hope he can help her!!!)  A HUGE thanks to her for offering, but sick happens and we just hope she feels better soon. Cat bloggers won’t be stopped. Another cat blogger (forgive me for not remembering your name) will get Millie’s Mom to and from the airport to near Sprout’s family, where she will stay in a hotel.  Sprout’s extended family is staying at that same hotel, so they can help Millie’s Mom get around while she’s there.  And you know what, DKM helped find a really good airfare, so we can cover the hotel room too so Millie’s Mom doesn’t have to sleep on the street or be a burden on the family by squeezing in the closet or something!  We don’t have exact figures yet, but we do expect to be able to give financial assistance to the family too, with what’s leftover after the trip, and volunteers  and donors are being so kind.  That would be great!  Fank you all so much. You guys ROCK!
