Monday Noos
Posted by KC under blogging cat noos

Many are asking what can they do to help Tracey and family… so here is what Tracey has asked for:
She would love it if every kitty, bunny, human… all of us could send a 2 inch by 2 inch scrap of fabric with their name on it. I would use a Sharpie pen to write your names. She would like to make a quilt of all these little scraps to wrap Sprout in. Email me if you do not have Tracey’s address, if you want to send your own scrap directly. If you cannot send one because you live over seas, can’t afford to mail or just do not have the capacity to do so - please send an email to me, DKM, at adivakitty @ gmail.com and we here at the CB will ensure that a scrap of fabric with your names and the names of your furry children is added to the quilt. I will be sending out all of the pieces of fabric on Thursday - so please email me by Wednesday evening. Email with any questions - adivakitty @ gmail.com
~Michelle (DKM)
UPDATE: You do not need to send fabric or scraps to DKM — she is getting special fabric for Sprout’s quilt and will send a scrap for you with your names on it. The fabric is being donated by the kind ladies who own a fabric store near DKM. So please do not be shy about asking for DKM to send a scrap in your name!
We are all devastated by the loss of Monty Q’s "Sprout". Please see the posts below for more information. As we have dates and such, we’ll pass them on to you.
Sanjee wrote: Mom Robyn is carrying hugs from any and all cat blogosphere friend, kitty or otherwise, to Sprout’s family when Mom goes up for the funeral services. We will print out all the hugs from every cat or friend that asks and take them with her. Just stop by our blog post (http://catsnmom.blogspot.com/
We have opened the Chatzy Room for any who need to be with friends for comfort. We know you’ll all be nice.
Use your name and the password: mistletoe. (If the new style Chatzy gives you trouble, try this link instead: Old style Chatzy.) Also, if you would like to light a candle for the family, you can do that here.
Update: Sprout’s service is expected, at this point, to be this coming weekend. We’ll keep you posted when we have an exact date.
Beau & Mom Cathy are haffing a Special Squillion Auction to help raise money for Mom Lynne’s travel to Sprout’s funeral. Extra will also be used toward Sprout’s medical expenses.
Grr, Midnight & Cocoa have three great items for auction at our blog to help raise money for Mom Lynne’s travel and Sprout’s medical expenses.
UPDATE: Felix went to tha vet at 4:14 a.m. in a lot of pain. i’s afraid him gonna haf to be helped to tha Bridge. Pleeze, pleeze, pleeze sends lotsa purrs fur our furriend, Felix… purrs, KC
UPDATE 12:17pm Eastern: Mom Robyn just spoke to Felix’s Mom on the phone. Felix is going to be helped to the Bridge within the hour because he’s suffering so much and there’s nothing more that can be done for him medically. Please send purrs and purrayers to light his way and to his Mom and family who are so very sad. Mom Jenny will be back to blogging for the other kitties in the family when she feels up to it.
HOLD THE PRESSES!!! This just in at 3:02pm EST from Mom Jenny: I just got back from VRCC. When I got there, Felix’s temperature had dropped some…still very high but better than this morning. His eyes were bright and he was purring and giving the vet and me headbutts. We tried giving him Fancy Feast and he took a couple of bites! He let me hold him and he went sound asleep in my arms…it seemed as though he was relaxing and getting rest. Neither Dr. Davies nor I felt it was time to let Felix go given this improvement. I realize this may be a temporary reprieve but for now, he’s back on fluids with a new antibiotic and a very small dose of steroid. I know this time tomorrow I may have to let him go but, for now, he seems to be feeling better…we just have to do all we can to try to help him and listen when he tells us it’s time…I just don’t think he was ready today and, Lord knows, I am definitely not ready to say goodbye. I will keep you posted but wanted to let you know so that you can let everyone know that for now, his trip to heaven is on hold. Thanks for all of the kind words and prayers. I cannot tell you how much it means to me and my little ones! (Let’s keep purrin like mad for lil Felix!)
Felix is still doing very poorly and needs lots more purrs. Please visit him and send him purrs and purrayers. Purrrrrrrrs, Sanjee
