Millie’s Mom just called with some very, very bad news. And I just can’t think of any good way to put this, my eyes are leaking so.  Just a little while ago, maybe a half hour, Monty Q’s Sprout, Violette Noelle died unexpectedly.  Her heart just stopped suddenly. At this point no one knows why. She was doing so well from what Millie’s Mom was told last night. Please send prayers and purrs and comforting thoughts to Monty’s family.  They are devastated.  Monty will not be able to post for the near future.  The Doing the Q contest will be handled by volunteers.

I’d like to ask you to please, please when commenting anywhere in the cat blogosphere or in chat, keep in mind that to comfort each other and especially Violette’s family, we need to be particularly thoughtful.  This is such a sad tragedy and won’t be helped by any of us not being thoughtful.

There is no more news or information, and probably won’t be for days.  However, if you want to go purr for Monty’s family and comfort each other, I’ve opened the Chatzy Room. Use your name and the password: mistletoe.  If you would like to light a candle for the family, you can do that here.
