PURRS NEEDED FUR NINJA, EVITA & FESTUS
Hi Everyone, Ninja has had a swollen and sore toe for a 2 weeks and I took her to the VET yesterday. She will be on a course of antibiotics for a week or so, but if it doesn’t show improvement, she will have a biopsy done to check for cancer. I am very worried as I surely didn’t expect the C word to be mentioned. Some healing prayers would be much appreciated. Thank you so much, Brenda L. Ealing

My precious kitty, Festus is at the vet’s right now fighting for his life. All 3 of my cats are strictly indoor cats, but somehow got a bad case of fleas. I used flea shampoo on all of them on Sunday & the other two weren’t doing too bad, but poor Festus was just totally infested. When I rinsed him off the water was bloody. I thought I did the right thing & that he’d feel better the next day. I called my vet on Monday to try to get him in, but he (the vet) was in the hospital. I thought I could wait a couple days since Fes was still eating & drinking. Yesterday (Wed.) I got some different stuff to spray on them. Last night he was very lethargic, wouldn’t eat or drink & was just a bloody mess. I again tried my vet this morning & got no answer. I ended up taking him to an animal hospital 30 miles away. They were going to work him in since we didn’t have an appt. They told me to call them this afternoon to check on him. When I did, they told me that he was still alive & that they were working hard to keep him that way. They are giving him IV fluids & they had to force feed Nutri-Cal. I am so afraid for my baby. I’m not sure how I’m going to pay for this treatment, but I’m not asking for money. If you could just ask the blogasphere to pray that my Festus gets through this, that’s all I want. He’s not quite 4 years old & is just so precious to me, please pray for my baby. Hey, PB&J at http://pbjcats.blogspot.com/ have been left alone by their Beins who are goin onna vacation. And George the woofie is inna kennel. They haf only a teen Bein ta come ofer and feed them/clean the litterboxes (which we bet doesnt get done real good).
So we propose a house-trashin party all day Sunday. Leave comments at their bloggie on Sunday about all the trashin ya did while ya teleported ofer ta visit them!
Let’s make a REAL surprise fer the Beins when they return from leavin Pearl, Bert & Jake all alone fer so long a time…
We are already collectin dead mice ta stash in closet corners. Ayla has a wicked grin on her face jus thinkin of things ta do (she loves pullin books offa shelfs, fer instance). We got some ofer ideas too.

We are purring like crazy for Festus to get better after being attacked by all those nasty fleas. When I (China Cat) was found outside by my Lap Lady’s office almost 12 years ago, I had lots of those nasty fleas on me. I was very happy to be rid of them!

Poor Festus! Acourse we’ll purr an purray fur hims! The firstest cat was lergic to fleas, flea spray, flea powder, an efurry ofur treatmint available then (no liquids on the neck yet, but he’d proally haf been lergic to that, too). All Mom could do was bathe him wif flea shampoo once a week.
Pleez, Festus, be strong an fite them fleas an sickyness!

Purrrrrrrs for Festus! Was he allergic to the flea shampoo? Our Lady’s mom’s kitty had a bad reaction to it one time too. We’re purring for you Festus - get well!

Thank you for all your prayers for Festus. I can’t tell you how much it means to me. The last update I got from the vet was that Fes was doing some better. He still won’t eat, but he did lick the Nutri-Cal off their fingers. He’s still very pale & he’s not out of the woods yet, but I’ll take “better” right now.
As far as I know right now, he will probably have to stay with the vet all weekend. I am doing everything I can to rid the house of fleas & hopefully this will never be an issue again.
Again, thanks for all your prayers. I have to tell you that I just love all of you in the Cat Blogosphere, you’re the best!!
