Gree is back home. The ER vets could find nothing wrong. They gave Gree pain meds, just in case it comes back. They did not rule out that it could be something neurological. Mom Robyn has a CD with X-rays and medical reports of the tests, just in case. Thanks again to everyone who donated and for all the purrs and prayers.

Dancer is a precious kitten with a serious disease and needs surgery to have a chance at life. To quote Zuleme: "Here comes the rest of the story, which is about a small cat named Dancer. He is about eight months old, grey and thin with strange copper colored eyes. When he is free to get some exercise in the shelter he runs around chirping and singing. He has a serious medical issue that will probably kill him by the time he is a year old."

The Conway Area Humane Society has a donations page (Paypal) where you can make a donation for him (be sure to specify it is for Dancer). Zuleme will be offering a line of items via Cafe Press to benefit him as well.

Skinned Rattly MouseMom Robyn learned something else from the ER vet last night that’s impawtant for anycat with small or puppy woofies in the house: If you have small dogs, keep the toy mousies away from them.  They might be too large for the little dog to pass through their GI tract.  Here’s the story from Mom Robyn.  "The one bright moment for others in the ER vet was a young little cute mutt who’d just been spayed Friday, who swallowed a toy rattly mouse Sat evening that was too big for her GI tract to have passed.  The vet was very worried that it could have ruptured something. Their cat had given the dog the toy mouse because the doggie was feeling a little icky from getting spayed. The ER vet successfully induced vomiting and found that she’d swallowed two of them!  Her people were so glad they’d seen her eat the one or the one they didn’t see her eat could have caused her serious problems.  The vet was concerned about possible poisoning from the mouse toy, and her mom had a mouse toy like that in her pocket — so I loaned her my Swiss Army knife to pull the fur off the mouse to see what’s inside.  Nada mucho.  Those danged rattly mouse toys are nearly indestructible as far as the plastic innards go, and the rest is just fur and felt ears, so no worries as far as poisoning. So little Maisy was fine, and got to go home with her people who were then on a crusade to pick up all the mousie toys from around the house. They were cute, saying they were going to go today to get the dog some chew toys for the cat to give her instead and snoopervise any toy mouse playing from now on. hehehe" (The photo is of the rattly mouse the mommy skinned there at the ER vet.)
