from Pet Purr & Purrayers: Angela commented (near bottom of comments)… Hello everyone I am in urgent and desperate need of healing thoughts and prayers for my friend’s cat Lestat. He is very sick. My friend had to move and could not take Lestat; I took him until she could find a place. He stopped eating over 3 weeks ago. I syringe feed him and my vet tube feeds him once a day; he hates it. I know it’s because he misses his human. He has never been without her this long, going on 4 months. He isn’t even 2 yrs.and is wasting away. I will not give up on him but need all the positive energy for him! he needs to start eating on his own. Please, please i am begging everyone who reads this to send speedy healing thoughts and prayers his way. Thank you all, Angela [ Angela, you an Lestat are getting comments here... Purrs, KC]
IMPAWTANT – I IS NOT DEAD! In response to earlier post re: Pepperell Cat Shelter closing: I am absolutely flabbergasted that this continues to make the rounds. The Pepperell Cat Shelter is NOT closing. The email posted is a viral hoax! My oldest daughter has been a volunteer there for the past 11 years (and a very close friend of the founder, who passed away last month). All the volunteers are still working there and the state is helping with a illness issue with some of the cats, but NO healthy cats are being euthanized. It is the shelter’s goal to continue to adopt cats out, was founded as a no-kill shelter and will continue to be a no-kill shelter. The only cats that were euthanized were some very ill FIV or FELv positive cats that were on their last legs (only 6). The “daughter” actually gets a kick out of the “daughter” bit. This is the current president of the shelter, and the founder’s best friend. She is in her late 50s ! Feel free to spread the word that it IS NOT CLOSING!! Feel free to email me if you have any questions. Thanks !
