But Lilly Lu came home tonight from the veterinary clinic at Tufts University, and good news so far! Dr. Cornejo is pretty sure it isn’t cancer! She thinks it might be a benign tumor on Lilly’s parathyroid gland causing her calcium levels to be so high, and the high calcium would cause her bladder stones. They’ll know for sure when test results are back next week and will decide then whether to go ahead with the surgery. But the best news is that the veterinary specialist feels that either way, what Lilly has can be treated!!
