Good Noos! Mommie ML and Mom Robyn write: We are thrilled to announce that Cat Friends Helping Friends will not only be able to continue, but will also be transformed into an official 501(3)(c) not-for-profit charity organization. Yesterday we got a volunteer offer to head up this transition from Mom Trisha of The Cats Stephens which included a first outline of the possible organization. Mom Trisha has the organizational and legal skills to make this happen, so we’re just tickled pink. She has committed to a year of heading this up, and we’ll be helping her out to get it going.  Getting CFHF registered as a legal charity entity will take some time of course, but in the meanwhile, the Cat Friends Shop  at Cafepress will continue as usual with all funds earned during this transition time going to CFHF once it’s all established.  During the transition time, since we can’t do fund raising too, we’ll be happy to continue to shout out  here at the Cat Blogosphere blog, about fund raising for friends done personally by cat bloggers. In the next day or two we’ll be bringing the CFHF site online with info about the intent of the charity  — you’ll recognize the intent for sure — contact information, and other pertinent information.  This is exactly what we wanted to see happen but didn’t have the skills and resources ourselves to make into reality, and we are so grateful to Mom Trisha for making that window open for everyone.  Please bear with us while we get all this going. We’ll keep you posted as more noos comes along. 

NEW BLOG & ESTORE: The Bengal Brats now have their own blog, and also a card estore. The brats pledge 20% of all sales to the cat blogosphere. 

 

Skittles, The Huntress wrote: I have set the date for My Second Annual Garden Party. It’s April 16th. There will be guided tours of my garden, refreshments, lots of sunny spots for cats to relax, AND a tour of the lovely gardens around Point Loma and Shelter Island, here in San Diego. Last year was a blast, and we even saw the world famous Wild Parrots of Point Loma. Everyone is invited!!
