More Sunday Noos!
Posted by Daisy under blogging cat noos
In light of the sad news that Anastasia is still missing, Karen from A Strange Life has a post today about a special fence made just for cats, so we can go outside and still be safe. Her cats sure have a fantastic setup out there! Karen said that since she installed this fence, her cats seem happier and healthier than ever. Thanks, Karen, for your idea on keeping us safer.

Hi Daisy!! Radcliff, Allie, Luna, & Ozzie asked me a very good question about the Purrfect Fence. “One obvious question occurs to us. Is this fence strong enough to keep a bobcat or coyote OUT?” I went to the fence site and looked around and this is what I found out in their FAQ:
Question :
What about coyotes? (keeping them out)
Answer :
To date we have not had any reports of coyotes getting inside the Houdini-Proof enclosure. This is most likely due to the 24″ steel bottom that overlaps 6″ onto the ground and is staked tight. Coyotes can dig and due to loss of habitat, although typically nocturnal, are known to also roam neighborhoods in search of food, even during daylight hours. For this reason we strongly recommend bringing your cats in at night and having a pet door so your cat(s) can easily and conveniently come and go from the house as they please should a wild animal appear on the outside of the fence.
