Rocky tha Guttercat isn’t feeling well, stop by an leaf hims a message. He also had a pretty close call with a Vishus Deer. [KC… fanks to Eric & Flynn fur tha update!]

And don’t furrget about poor little Miss Piggy of The Pink Flamingo. Cindy haf posted an update on Miss Piggy. The good news is all her blood tests are back and normal. The bad news is they still don’t know what’s wrong with her.

New Cat Virus??? i’s just gotted an email from Cindy, i’s gonna post it here cause i’s fink it be impurrtant.  Cindy writes: Now we’re on to something. This morning my mother’s adorable Belva, about 4 years old, inside, great health, fine yesterday – I saw her – comes down with the same symptoms Miss Piggy has. She is unresponsive, listless, and rolled up in a little ball. She is being hospitalized today, also. My parents are feeding outside cats. Before they went out of town a month or so ago, they had a dozen cats. Today there are two adults and 3 kittens (that had been hospitalized a week for runny eyes, cold, and nearly died)  one of their siblings died of it. My vet said he has noticed a number of the outside cats he feeds have disappeared. Are we dealing with a new virus? There is no sign of pet food toxicity just elevated enzyme levels indicating some sort of infection. Piggy has started to respond to the anti-biotic.

Will you pass this along to all the cat bloggers you know?  I want to find out if anyone has noticed anything or heard anything.  Somewhere along the line a few weeks ago when I was reaching the pet food poisoning I found a notation from someone who was beginning to suspect or consider the possibility of a virus. I think the only way we are going to track this down, if we are dealing with something new, is to keep asking questions.  I know I am driving Dr. Franklin’s staff crazy, but this morning, when I brought the subject up, his assistant said it was something to consider.
