since i cant post on zues’s comments until i get home i want to say to zuesy now that we thourly enjoy his website and the contests and though we have participated we never hold ill will towards anyone of owr fellow blogger. this is supposed to be fun and if people dont like his site then dont go back. but Zuesy wes luvs you. wes luvs yur site and dont want you to quit blogging. itd be a shame to quite what you like cause some people are crazy.

I’m was shocked to wake up this morning and find that 2 of my favorite bloggers were thinking about ending their blogs. As usual I was totally out of the loop. I did vote in the Mr Litterbox competition (for Mao) but did not keep up on further voting. I just want to implore both Zeus and Skeez to please continue to blog. You are two bright lights in the blogsphere, but there is an even more important reason you cannot stop. You are both in my mozilla bookmarks toolbar. I just figured out how to fit all my favorite blogs in there. You will ruin my entire toolbar if you stop blogging and I have to remove you from there. So please, do you want to do that to me? Yea, I didn’t think so! Love you all.

Please everyone, do not shut down your blogs! Look, I’ll admit outright I was actually very upset about this contest and I can’t really tell you why as I understood the absurdity and the very point that Zeus was trying to make on the absurdity of pageants. Pageants ARE popularity contests. But for me, I barely made it through alive from the popularity contests of HS so I really thought that was over and behind me.
I know that no one intended to hurt anyone else’s feeling when it began in fun. Things just got out of hand and it certainly exposed parts of the humanity that go into our love for our cats.
I actually considered at least cutting back on blogging if not stopping due in part to my personal feelings recently. I don’t like how I am feeling and I only do this for the fun of it. I’ve love this community so much for its warmth and love of ALL cats. I know that we all never want to hurt each other’s feelings but sometimes we don’t always stop to think about everything we are writing.
I think this was an important reminder of the people behind the cats. I truly appreciate everyone’s candor and honesty regarding this issue and I sincerely hope my feeling offend no one. I really needed to get this off of my chest though.

Our mommy was akshuall CRYING when she readed about Skeezix and Zeus. Oh it is terrible that this happened and we doesn’t know if we would continue our blog if our furriends Skeezix and Zeus quit. It just would not be as much fun anymore. we did not keep up wif the voting too much, we casted votes for just about efurrybody ‘acuase efurryone’s entries were so wonderful. But we feel so bad for Zeus’s mom and Skeezix’s food lady that people were being mean. It was just ‘apposed to be a silly fun contest.

I feel horrible that there was ill feelings over the voting and contest, and I am also seriously considering shutting down my blog.
What was supposedly done in fun, at least from my end, ended up not feeling that way..at least for some. We’re extremely sorry, have contacted both Zeus and Skeezix and talked to them about it and told them we don’t want them to take down their blog.

no not kukka i love her. she has te funniest posts. please eferypoodie in the cat community plase take a chill pill sit back relax and think about this. i truely hope it wasnt her last post and will keep her in my favorites to make sure. this to shall pass. a week or two this should be the last thing we think about. its nothing. just calm down and reconsider before you quit posting. so someone doesnt like you im sure people dont like me but i do this for me and those that do like me not those that dont. so dont shut down for the wrong people. dont let bad win. some blogs get so few comments but they go on for them and us that read. and you have really popular ones too. thats great for them. just put this whole thing in perspective. you all brighten my day here at work. i dont really have friends or much family but i like to think of each of you as furriends and to see even 1 leave is sad. and to quote rodney king the arguing too. cant we all just get along

I really hope that everyone keeps blogging. I do not want Skeezix, or Zeus, or Beau to stop blogging over this.
I certainly hope that no one shuts down their blog(s) or leavse the cat blogosphere. If I said anything to hurt anyone, I’m very sorry.
I posted once or twice that I thought Skeezix would win because he has so many resources that the rest of us don’t have, but I didn’t mean to imply that he shouldn’t win or that the contest was unfair. It was Zeus’ contest, so the rules were his to make and enforce.
The ballot stuffing did get a little out of hand, but I know I participated in it – I just didn’t have enough people (or friends) to help with the ballot stuffing.
I guess I’m also a little sensitive because I get frequent comments on my blog saying “what an ugly cat/dog” or “I could never stand having one of those around” or “what kind of freak is that”. Also, I noticed that before I became a member of the cat blogosphere, people would post photos of Sphynx for Frootbat Friday, and although some of the comments were amusing, some were cruel and mean!
But if any of my comments hurt anyone’s feelings, I’m very, very sorry. I did not mean to do so. I hope you all continue blogging and I hope you all stay my friends.

I hope no one quits blogging over an incident like this. I don’t know the in’s and out’s of it all, but I don’t really need to. I’ve watched my daughter’s reactions when someone slams her. (She posts for http://www.bloghouston.net.) But she has a few emails and phone calls with the other people who post on that blog, and eventually she gets right back in the groove. You just have to. Otherwise, the nay-sayers win — and that’s a shame.
Again — I hope no one quits blogging for this type of reason.

Please, everyone sit back and calm down! We know this contest was all in fun and unfortunately it got a little out of control. It’s over and there’s embarassment, shame, disgust and hurt. We’ll all get past this.
We’ve left comments at all the bloggers in question – Zeus, Kukka, Beau & Skeezix telling them how much we enjoy their special brand of humor and creativity, as well as posting on our own page today about. No one should stop blogging over a silly contest, especially not the most well-known and well-loved cat bloggers out there!
As George would say, don’t let this stifle your creativity, please!
